St. Louis Heart & Vascular Welcomes Esteemed Cardiologist Dr. William P. Wright to its Team
May 14, 2024 - St. Louis Heart & Vascular (SLHV) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. William P. Wright, a distinguished cardiologist with a wealth of experience and expertise, to its esteemed team of physicians. Dr. Wright brings over three decades of clinical experience, research contributions, and leadership in cardiovascular medicine to SLHV.
Dr. Wright's impressive journey in cardiology began with his medical education at the University of Missouri – Columbia, where he obtained his Medical Doctorate in 1985. He completed his residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the same institution before embarking on a distinguished career in the field.
With over 30 years of clinical practice, Dr. Wright has held key positions at prestigious medical centers across Missouri, including St. Anthony’s Medical Center (now Mercy South) and St. Clare Hospital. His leadership roles include Vice President of Medical Staff and Director of Cardiology, among others, underscoring his commitment to advancing patient care and medical excellence.
Dr. Wright's extensive research contributions have significantly impacted cardiovascular care. He has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator in numerous studies, including SAVE (Survival and Ventricular Enlargement) and TRILOGY, demonstrating his dedication to advancing medical knowledge in cardiology.

His expertise will further enhance SLHV's capabilities in providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for cardiovascular conditions.

Dr. Wright is now accepting new patients at SLHV's Des Peres Hospital Office located at 2325 Dougherty Ferry Road, Suite 203 in St Louis.
